Yes, Virginia, Those are Real Shrimp Boats

We once heard one of our guests say, "Gee Virginia, these boats are better than anything they do at Disney World."

When the season starts in May or June, those beautiful boats at our dock - the one's with the big nets hanging off port and starboard sides - ply our rich waters for Hudson's signature item: shrimp. The boats are very real.

In fact, Hudson's employs the largest & only fishing fleet on the island to give you the freshest seafood around.

Everyone shares in the excitement of seeing the crews unload their cargo on its way to our packing house.

A good day will mean those huge, bag-like nets will bring in a haul of 500 pounds or more of those little grey crustaceans (shrimp don't turn pink until they're cooked). but that can't happen often enough for our captains - or our customers. Hudson's serves over 40,000 pounds of shrimp a year!
